Lamond Murray

California Clutch offensive player known to slam it down inside against the best competition in the college ranks (Grant Hill, McKale etc.), showing off fallaways, finger rolls, and some drop step moves while he played PF sometimes at Cal. Murray is going to shoot, shoot, shoot some more, coaches won't have to worry about him getting discouraged by misses... although maybe he should, as beyond the highlight reel dunks he's just not a efficient finisher inside. Could help his team a lot more by utilizing his perfectly fine (not great) jump shot in the flow of the offense. His ballhandling needs to be improved. Doesn't look to pass the ball, much preferring to receive. Doesn't try hard to generate steals. A really good blocker, though. Has attention problems that limit his total effectiveness on defense on the perimeter and in the post. Was the leading rebounder in the Pac 10 for a time, should be good in the pros but won't be able to just jump over everyone as in college. Has the frame to add muscle to address his below par strength and quickness without compromising the remarkable jumping ability which allows him to make most of his shots which become basically unblockable.
