Bingo Smith SF 6-5 195 23 Tulsa First, the good: Bingo Smith is the definition of a boom or bust prospect. Scouts all agree that his potential is sky-high. With the ability to jump out of the gym, Bingo brings a surprisingly smooth stroke to complement his athleticism, where he makes 80% of his free throws. His quickness is also very good for a player of his size. He scores well inside against lesser competition, but scouts are divided over whether that can continue at the next level. He doesn't turn the ball over very much, though that is arguably a function of his unwillingness to pass or call for the ball, as he only has decent handles for his position. However, his true calling card on the offensive side is his nose for the glass. A great offensive rebounder, he loves to grab the miss and finish with insane acrobatics.
Defensively, he's unimpressive, but the frame and athleticism is there to be great defender. Shows a pretty good ability to grab balls from passing lanes, but sometimes struggles to stick to his man on the perimeter. Not a good defender in the post. While an above-average defensive rebounder, it's nothing like his penchant for the glass on the offensive end.
