Eastern Conference
#1 New York Knicks v #8 Pittsburgh Pipers
Pipers 140, KNICKS 127
KNICKS 143, Pipers 104
PIPERS 133, Knicks 105
PIPERS 141, Knicks 137
The Pipers really took it to the Knicks in the regular season. All but one game between the teams was a blowout. Gotta think the Knicks playoff experience will help them here. Knicks Gm Ankly added Nene for some reason paying him 1 million dollars more than most would per season. The Pipers don't have the depth or star power of the Knicks but they should stay competitive with Nene getting minutes.

#2 Charlotte Bobcats v # 7 Washington Bullets
BOBCATS 129, Bullets 119
Bobcats 117, BULLETS 112
Bobcats 108, BULLETS 96
BOBCATS 120, Bullets 118
The bullets traded some talent during the season and were still able to get the 7 seed. That says alot about the Bullets depth and the Eastern Conference. The Bobs are just stacked inside and if the Wings can just play average(dunleavy bad) then they should roll through this matchup
Bobs in 4
#3 Indiana Pacers v #6 Carolina Cougars
COUGARS 122, Pacers 114
PACERS 137, Cougars 122
Pacers 145, COUGARS 126
This should be a good matchup . The Cougs lack a true superstar (so far) Down low to matchup with 10 WS Bynum . The Cougs have the elite PG combo , but can they stop Dumars and Drexler? I think this series goes 7 games.
Pacers in 7
#4 Toronto Raptors v #5 Chicago Bulls
Raptors 116, BULLS 111
BULLS 132, Raptors 127
Bulls 118, RAPTORS 105
RAPTORS 115, Bulls 106
This series is probably the most balanced off the matchups out east, due to the fact that neither stick out as being great. The Bulls have elite Yao Ming and the Raptors have a bunch of good not great players. The season series was split. I think the Raptors have enough to contain Yao and win the series.
Raptors in 6
#1 New York Knicks v #4 Toronto Raptors
KNICKS 154, Raptors 117
RAPTORS 143, Knicks 135
Knicks 158, RAPTORS 143
Raptors 134, KNICKS 133
Another series split. Maybe the Knicks aren't as dominant as most(ank) Thinks? The Knicks did score at will against the old Raps. 1st and 3rd(bullshit) all league point guards going at it. Kyrie will expose Sedran over a full series and I don't think Embiid will be kept in check. I expect a quick series here.
Knicks in 5
#2 Charlotte Bobcats v #3 Indiana Pacers
Bobcats 115, PACERS 100
Pacers 145, BOBCATS 134
Pacers 123, BOBCATS 119
Bobcats 121, PACERS 118
Split the season series with the AWAY team winning every game. The Bobs have the depth and star players downlow but if Bynum can contain them this will be interesting with Drexler and Dumars on the wing. Both have game managers at PG. I think the Bobs lack of an elite wing will haunt them here.
Pacers in 6.
#1 New York Knicks v #3 Indiana Pacers
Knicks 126, PACERS 123
KNICKS 129, Pacers 119
Knicks 118, PACERS 116
KNICKS 149, Pacers 118
The Knicks swept the season series. All but one of the games were competitive. The Knicks have the advantage at 4 of the 5 starting positions. One of the best offenses in the league Vs the best defense. I think the Pacers keep the series close but they don't have the scoring punch to beat the Knicks
Knicks in 6
Western Conference
#1 Los Angeles Lakers v #8 Milwaukee Bucks
Lakers 143, BUCKS 114
LAKERS 152, Bucks 115
LAKERS 144, Bucks 135
Lakers 133, BUCKS 124
Questionable foul calls were the story in the season series. It's also worth noting that Juan Dixon is out with an injured Groin for the playoff matchup. I lean Lakers with the injuries to bucks backcourt in this matchup , although All World Bob Cousy will likely take a few from the Lakers regardless.
Lakers in 5
#2 Utah Jazz v #7 Seattle SuperSonics
Jazz 140, SUPERSONICS 137
SuperSonics 141, JAZZ 138
JAZZ 127, SuperSonics 118
Jazz 113, SUPERSONICS 105
The Jazz took 3 of 4 in the regular season but are now without Al Horford. I like the Sonics Bigs in this matchup with the Jazz , but I'm not sure that they have enough at the wing or Pg to Pull the upset on the Jazz. The Jazz have 4 above average guys on the Wing and that's a problem.
Jazz in 5
#3 Vancouver Grizzlies v #6 Anaheim Amigos
Amigos 126, GRIZZLIES 118
AMIGOS 144, Grizzlies 120
AMIGOS 138, Grizzlies 133
Amigos 122, GRIZZLIES 119
I like the Amigos bigs in this matchup, however the series will come down to the Wings. It should be a great matchup with Mashburn and Webster facing off against Tobias and Beasley. I think its a fairly close matchup. I'd probably give the edge the Grizz at PG. Overall though I think the Amigos have more depth and that moves them onto the next round
Amigos in 7
#4 Phoenix Suns v #5 Portland Trail Blazers
SUNS 124, Trail Blazers 115
Suns 142, TRAIL BLAZERS 138
SUNS 134, Trail Blazers 128
TRAIL BLAZERS 135, Suns 125
Bogut Continues to impress (after not peaking year 1) and the nameless Suns find themselves as the #4 in the stacked Western Conference. The Blazers are and will always be just the Blazers. They also lack the star power but get it done on Defense. This is your classic what happens when a Resistible force meets a Moveable object .
Suns in 7
#1 Los Angeles Lakers vs #4 Phoenix Suns
Lakers 134, SUNS 117
Lakers 128, SUNS 125
LAKERS 135, Suns 110
LAKERS 110, Suns 88
The Suns Held the Lakers in check in the regular season, only allowing over 130 points twice. The games appeared closer than the box scores indicate. When digging into this matchup it appears the foul discrepancy was heavily tilted towards the Lakers. The Suns are likely to be outnumbered 5 to 8 on the court at all times.
Lakers in 5
#2 Utah Jazz v # 3 Anaheim Amigos
Jazz 151, AMIGOS 120
AMIGOS 141, Jazz 125
JAZZ 142, Amigos 130
Amigos 170, JAZZ 132
The Jazz really need Al Horford for this matchup vs the Amigos. The Amigos will throw 3 capable Bigs at the Jazz. The Wings will be a good matchup to watch as well. You've got Xaiver and Simmons on Mashburn and Webster. As someone who has had Webster and Xaiver I'd expect the production will cancel out due to playoff jitters. The PG's won't have much impact on this series
Amigos in 7
#1 Los Angeles Lakers v #3 Anaheim Amigos
Lakers 136, AMIGOS 134
LAKERS 150, Amigos 123
Amigos 124, LAKERS 122
Lakers 146, AMIGOS 120
The likely foul discrepancy shouldn't be a factor in the series due the Gm/Coach of the Amigos handling adversity and pressure very well historically. Being level headed can only get you so far. It's not the X's and O's its the Jimmy's and the Joes (Tom Osborne, 1995)
Lakers in 5
Finals
#1 Los Angeles Lakers v #1 New York Knicks
KNICKS 137, Lakers 131
LAKERS 139, Knicks 118
The series was split and these are clearly the two best teams in the league. I'd take the Lakers depth and stars down low and at the wings, but the Lakers haven't faced many Pg's like Kyrie (outside of Cousy). In such a close matchup you have to the think the strength of the Western Conference will have the Lakers ready for the Eastern Conference.
Lakers in 4.
#1 New York Knicks v #8 Pittsburgh Pipers
Pipers 140, KNICKS 127
KNICKS 143, Pipers 104
