Hardened by the cold winters in his home country of Ukraine, Len enters TMBSL as one of the most mysterious prospects we have seen. In his youth Len trained as a gymnast where he was trained by former gold medalist, Ihor Korobchynskyi. However, once he became too big to continue he switched his focus to basketball and never looked back. Eventually coming to America on a basketball scholarship, Len had 2 impressive years at Maryland before declaring.
Len possesses an impressive 7’4 wingspan to go along with his incredible height. This makes him one of the premier shot blocking bigs to enter the league in a handful of years. In addition, his background in gymnastics makes him very light on his feet. He possesses eye-opening agility and noble footwork for his size. This leads to him being a very effective defensive player.
His offensive game is solely based on scoring in the paint. He has a limited number of moves but can operate with his back to the basket. He has no range to speak of as he is rather raw with his shooting form. It's not broken by any means but it's an area he will need to improve on.
He will need to get stronger in order to compete with bigs his size. He can get bullied at times by stronger players and it's an area that will need time. His length helps him in rebounding the ball on both ends but again, added strength will help him.
Len should come into the league as a stout rim protector and a strong shot blocker. His ultimate ceiling will be determined by his ability to grow his offensive game but scouts aren't confident that will happen. Injuries have continued to plague him and its usually eats up his offseason time to recover.
