CJ McCollum SG 6'3 190 22 Lehigh At 6’3 and 190 lbs with a 6’6 wingspan, McCollum only has average size and average speed for the combo guard he is. Like many shoot-first college guards that don’t have the ability to defend NBA shooting guards, he would need to become more of a pass-first player to start at PG at the next level. However, he is easily the most complete scorer in the draft. He’s a deadly shooter with deep range: as a senior he shot 51.6 percent from three on 5.3 attempts per game. With the ball in his hands, McCollum can break down defenders and easily get to the basket or pull up in a defender’s face. His step-back jumper is deadly, and he’s extremely comfortable shooting around high ball screens. He’s also explosive enough to quickly change pace with the ball in his hands. He’s feisty and fights with taller players for offensive rebounds off his teammate’s misses, but his tendency to want to try to score in transition makes him a lackluster defensive rebounder. While he is undersized to play sound defense on the perimeter, he does have a knack for getting steals in transition.
