Trey Burke PG 6'1 187 21 Michigan College Basketball’s Player of the Year averaged 19 points, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds per game and was the engine for a team that made the NCAA championship game. He is considered possibly the most offensively complete player of the draft: He can shoot it from deep. He gets into the lane. He scores well off the bounce, leading to more made shots in the paint and at the top of the key than you'd expect from his size. He creates shots for his teammates off the drive, and the pick-and-roll. There’s very little question that he will be a good point guard in TMBSL. But can a player with his size and speed be a great one? He is a slightly-above-average athlete at the next level, with only adequate quickness that could make it more difficult for him to get into the lane against longer and more athletic defenders. He will also struggle to hold his own defensively, with a penchant to get blown by, even though it doesn’t come from a lack of trying. His 6’5 wingspan offers some hope, with the ability to block shots off the tip when his opponent is pulling up, and above-average rebounding for the position. Regardless of how high his ceiling is, the team that drafts Burke should have a solid presence at PG for the next decade.
