Otto Porter Jr.
SF 6'8 205 20 Georgetown A high floor player, Otto Porter brings winning experience from two seasons at Georgetown. He’s extremely long for the wing position, with a 7’2 wingspan. He uses that length well, combining it with a great feel for the game and surprising quickness to allow him to smother smaller wings on the perimeter, and play good defense in the post in small-ball situations. This defensive acumen translated to leading the Hoyas in steals (1.8) and blocks (0.9). In line with the defensive side of the ball, his high basketball IQ allows him to be a jack-of-all-trades player on offense. He uses his well-rounded game to be a secondary facilitator in half-court sets, and take smart, efficient shots showing off a smooth stroke from the FT line, that also translates well from a distance. However, he doesn’t get to the basket well on offense, struggling to beat his man off the dribble, and lacks strength and explosiveness to effectively play inside the paint. Because he’s already so mentally adapted to the game, scouts are divided over whether his game can evolve much, even when given TMBSL-level coaching.
