Frankie is an old soul in a young man's body. Having turned pro at a very young age, Frankie has been dominating overseas for a number of years and is ready to make the jump over. The more scouts get to know his game, the more excitement builds around this player.
Scouts are openly drooling over the size and athleticism that Frank possesses. Already standing 6’5 with an almost 7ft wingspan, he has additional room to grow. Given his size and length he has great athleticism and is one of the quickest players in this draft class.
These attributes should translate immediately to the defensive end of the court. His wingspan and quickness allows him to guard almost any position. He has an extremely high basketball IQ and can be a pest when defending. He gets into passing lanes regularly and is always in good position.
He has a solid jumpshot and can create off the dribble outside when needed. When he gets to the free throw line he is able to constantly make his shots. He will need to work a bit on his 3pt shot, but scouts believe the foundation is there.
He is not the strongest player on the court and will need to add some bulk as he gets older. Added bulk can help him finish better inside when he looks to drive. He clearly knows what he wants to do, just doesn't always execute effectively. However he is still a plus rebounder for his position. His length and smarts put him in position to snag his fair share of rebounds.
Frankie has natural instincts while playing the point position and his height creates unique passing angles that he can use. Accuracy is an issue with these passes and will need to work on being smarter with the basketball.
Frankie is young and still relatively raw for a prospect and scouts are very excited about how high his ceiling could be. His size and defensive abilities should translate immediately and given the chance he could flourish. He has the drive and determination you want in a young, raw, player to turn into a perennial All Star.
