eric are you seriously just going to ignore this? Is there a reason you're allowing the Stags to switch conferences without a human GM'd team agreeing to the switch when you wouldn't allow the Pacers to swtich two seasons ago without a human GM'd team agreeing to the switch? Is he paying you in US currency? Are you compromised? Did you just realize we needed alignment? Some acknowledgement of why you're making a different call this time would be appreciated. Thanks!

I for one am sad to learn that the Stags are taking the coward's way out to the Eastern Conference. I hope to make it to the finals in 3013 so I can make them regret their decision

I've been on record that conference realignment to preserve balance is warranted and was the reason I asked to move to the western conference earlier this summer. I care that eric changed the rule and hasn't given any notice or explanation. He's just pretending he didn't do it, which is frustrating. A simple, "well I didn't think we needed realignment earlier this summer but now I do" would work. But instead it's just "nothing changed" in shout and crickets in this thread. Is there no accountability from our highest office? |

i did it for like 3 irl years in 5.0. Nothing will change. At the end of the day every commissioner will have flaws, you just have to decide if erics are one's youre willing to live with. I think eric in particular is who he is and will not change. In the end, I can absorb the head scratching decision with no explanation every couple years, its the equivalent to doing the right thing 95% of the time, which is an A in my book.
Honestly I feel like you already know this and are just trolling eric

I'm OK with enlightened despotism, especially because (i) eric generally has great judgment and (ii) he's doing this gratis. But I'm not OK with the "we follow the rules, no post facto changes" indignant takes when this type of stuff happens and he refuses to acknowledge it. Again, I'm fine with it happening. It's not a big deal. The only reason it's a deal at all is that it is inconsistent with the unbendable rule following schtick. Just some constructive feedback. |

In the offseason before the 3010 season, when the East had 15 teams and the West had 13 teams, I asked to move so each had 14. I was told that a team had to agree to switch with me. I asked if the Compu-Mavs would agree and eric never responded, which I inferred was a no. |
