Willie Cauley-Stein PF 7-0 242 21 KentuckyAfter 3 years under John Calipari’s tutelage, Cauley-Stein is what he is at this point. He’s a lean lanky post player who is going to do the dirty work down low. He blocks a fair amount of shots, averaging over 2 per game in college, and should guard the post very well. He’ll never be a primary scorer, nor will any offense flow through him. He gets his points on put backs and the occasional post up, but doesn’t have a wide arsenal of moves at his disposal. He won’t turn the ball over much, frankly because he shouldn’t touch it that much. An average passer out of the post, mostly getting his assists on kick outs from offensive rebounds, Cauley-Stein is a very limited offensive player. He’s a solid if not spectacular rebounder. Will most likely be best served taking the oppositions best big on defense and contributing that way. Don’t take Cauley-Stein if you’re looking for a player to boom in the development department.
