Jahlil Okafor C 6-11 270 19 DukeIf ever a player was boom or bust it is Jahlil Okafor. Legendary hand size notwithstanding, Okafor has the frame of a future All-TMBSL player. His potential as a low post scorer has no cap, showing out at Duke in his one season to the tune of hitting 66% of his shots. For all the good he’s shown scoring the ball come just as many questions everywhere else. Can he take care of the baseketball? Can he progress defensively? Will he ever be more than an average rebounder? Can his jump shot be fixed? The man can finish in the post using an impressive arsenal of moves, facing up his defender or backing down won’t be a problem. He has the size and strength, again not a problem. He can block a shot or two, but does he ever develop into a truly useful post defender will be the question he needs to answer. He’s shown no desire to pass out of the post nor take care of the ball. Okafor has several holes in his game, but at only 19 scouts believe he has the potential to be a truly dominant force. Whether he ever hits though heights is the only questionable thing.
