A comment on one of the pods got me thinking about which GMs have the longest continuous tenures.
15 current GMs weren't at the end of 5.0.
8 current GMs weren't at the start of 5.0.
That leaves 6:
Skrouse was in 4.0 creation as the Knicks, hung around for six seasons, then came back for the last four seasons by taking over Dirt's Mavericks.
Timpig's first entrance to sim league was grabbing the reins of Bruns' Spurs for nine uncontroversial years at the end of 4.0.
The next three GMs all joined in the same 3035 season, somehow.
Fecta took the throne of RV's Hornets on July 17th, 2016.
Ward was also in the 4.0 creation draft as the Hawks, took a thirty some odd season break and relaunched Dilworth's Rockets on July 13th, 2016, at 5:46 PM.
But at 3:49 PM on July 13th, 2016...
...Delap went SuperSonic in lieu of Yawn, besting Ward by almost two hours.
But Delap's first entrance to sim league was almost two years earlier, when he took the wheel of Ocho's Pacers in 3006.
It was ineffective(?)
Instead the franchise went to TNE, HarryG, and Jerry West,
during whose tenure Ocho came back to the league to replace Devine as warlord of the Warriors,
but Ocho left again in 3022 along with Duc and 2poor while Jerry kept chugging along for another twenty seasons,
until the franchise eventually relocated to New Orleans... under the stewardship of Billy King.
But what of Duc's Trailblazers (sic) all the way back in 3022?
Well sir, they were taken over by a GM who's been here ever since: Majic.
