 Russell CrossC6'10"21521PurdueScouts have mixed opinions about how this prospect translates to the next level. In college, he did a good job of scoring efficiently in the paint, but scouts point to his slight frame and claim that larger bigs in TMBSL will shut his post game down. That doesn't bode well, considering his jump shot is shaky on a good days and his efficiency at the line actually got worse throughout his college career instead of improving. Scouts point to this and question whether he truly loves the game of basketball and will have the passion to continue to improve and work on his game as a professional. That slight frame already kept him from excelling as a rebounder in college so we worry about his ability to do well there at the next level. Fortunately for the young man, he is rather springy and showed the ability to protect the rim in college and we expect that to continue even if he isn't quite the caliber of paint defender as a Sampson or Bol in this class. |
