Doc is a real coach on the floor from the point guard position. He will get the offense into its sets and make sure his teammates get the ball in position for good shots. This is good, because he isn't going to do much for your offense in terms of scoring himself. He somehow got worse every year in college, going from 55.3% from the field in his first year starting at Marquette to 45.3% and 43.7% his final two years. His shot mechanics are mediocre.
He is also going to do a good job of directing your defense on the other end. His size, length, strength, and quickness allow him to defend effectively on the perimeter, keeping defenders in front of him and stopping drives in their tracks. He also showed the ability to defend some smaller forwards in the post, which may be handy when switching with other guards on the perimeter at the next level. He was able to add some steals and blocks without getting himself out of position, it's unclear if he'll be able to accumulate those kind of statistics at a much higher level of competition in TMBSL.
Doc is likely ideal for a team with high-powered scorers he can help take their game to the next level instead of someone looking to create offense from the point guard position. While he is one of the younger prospects in this class, scouts seem to think he's pretty polished at this point and doesn't have the upside you may expect out of some other age 21 players.
