Cliff Levingston is a steady if unspectacular collegiate prospect. He does a little bit of everything well, if nothing outstanding. And he didn't have to, as he teamed with TMBSL legend Antoine Carr at Wichita State to form a dynamic 1-2 punch and were also surrounded with a lot of other TMBSL-level talent. Levingston is an average athlete, he's got a slight frame that plays stronger than you'd expect and he's just average in terms of bounciness and quickness. But he stands out relative to his peers because of his great fundamentals and technique.
Offensively, Levingston is the kind of guy that will always make the smart play. He led his team in scoring as a sophomore but then acted in more of a supporting role as a junior. He'll take smart shots and he's got an array of post moves that he can use to create space for himself. He's got a decent touch around the hoop but he may face challenges as a pro due to his slight frame and lack of great length. He is a decent ball-handler and will move the ball smartly if he doesn't have a good look or a favorable matchup to try and create. The only real knock on his offensive game in terms of skill is he is kind of mediocre as a jump shooter and he's struggled at the free throw, only making in the mid-60%s in his college career.
Defensively, Levingston moves well enough to stay in front of his defenders, but he doesn't have much upside as a rim protector due to his athletic and size limitations. He also struggles at times with stronger posts banging on him. Despite those limitations, he still manages to be a real asset on the boards.
While Levingston is fairly young for the class, his upside is limited due to size and athletic issues. He's already fairly advanced fundamentally, so he's not likely to grow much more. However, those fundamentals give him a high floor as a role player.
