Welcome back to Skrouse Capital Management (SCM)!
We are pleased to return for the 3008 season to continue offering TMBSL GMs an investment account where they can use their hard earned skrouse skratch (TM) to buy and sell TMBSL Team Stocks! We do a few rule changes for this season so whether you are a new or returning investor, or just a little fuzzy on the rules here is a refresher.
At the beginning of each season GMs can transfer up to 10K of their skrouse skratch from their Skrousey Bank Account to their SCM Brokerage account, that's right we are raising the initial deposit limit from 1K to 10K this season. At the end of each season, GMs can then withdraw their skratch or carry it over to the next season to keep the fun going. This article series is not just a place where GMs can use their prowess to make a return on their skratch, but also a mini game for GMs to compete for 5K. The competition is based on overall Rate of Return (RoR). The GM with the highest RoR at season's end wins the 5K prize from my own account at the Skrousey Bank.
Prices are based on current total win projections based on current winning percentage. The only time this is not true is for the opening trading session following Preseason where the Prices are based on eric's projections. Prices will be adjusted every 3 sims based on a team winning percentage at that time. SCM will act as the exclusive market maker for all TMBSL Team Stocks and offer to buy and sell minimum lots of stocks at the ask and bid prices. Ask and bid prices will be based on the current price of the stock, marked up or down by 3%.
I.e. BRK with a price of 57 can be sold at the bid of 55 or purchased at the ask of 59.
SCM also offers cross trades where two GMs wishing to Buy and Sell with each other between the bid and ask prices can do so.
I.e. If the Mike is willing to sell 2 of his shares of BRK @ 58, and Dirt is interested in buying them @ 58, SCM will broker the transaction for them - at no additional cost! As mentioned, minimum lots will be applied to every purchase and sale, minimum lots are based on a formula of $500/Price rounded down to the nearest whole number. I.e. 1 share of BRK @58 could not be bought or sold, a deal would need to be for at least 8 shares.
GMs will be able to post their buy and sell transactions in the Ticker Tape article thread which can be found in the Banking folder here. SCM will process all transactions immediately following deadlines set by the league office for sims 1, 3, 6, and 9. There will also be a trading session for ONLY selling stocks following sim 12. SCM will display all positions and balances before sims 1, 4, 7, 10 and following sim 12.

Bid (price) - current price at which a GM can SELL Teams Stocks to SCM.

Cash Out Value - amount of skrouse skratch (TM) a GM can obtain by selling all Team Stocks they hold to SCM, calculated by taking all current stocks held times the Bid. (Does NOT account for value that can be obtained by selling to another GM)

End. TMV - a GM's Total MV at the Sim 12 deadline
