NC State
One of the most unique prospects to come to TMBSL yet, Spud may be a good 3-4 inches shorter and 50 pounds smaller than the next smallest guy who has made their way to TMBSL yet. However, he finds a way to still compete at some of the highest levels, having come from the ACC and now attempting to ply his trade in TMBSL. He elevated his game at the most important times, earning 2nd Team All-ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament All-Region Honors as he led the Wolfpack to an Elite Eight loss against #1 seed St. John's.
Webb has a bit of a streetball element to his game. He's lightning quick and has got elite ballhandling ability and is the master of the highlight reel play. No one is going to steal the ball from him simply because he plays lower to the ground than everyone else and moves a step quicker. He's got good court vision and does do a good job of helping create looks for his teammates. He's also an obscene, elite leaper so even at his size he is an entertaining dunker of the basketball and should be a dunk contest regular. He's also a pretty good jump shooter who should have the ability to step out to the TMBSL 3-pt line to hit some shots at the next level despite not having the benefit of three pointers as a collegiate athlete. He also is a big gambler on the defensive end, where he uses his size to sneak up on guys and separate them from the ball and loves to take chances in the passing lanes to grab the ball away as well...he loves to use these opportunities to run in transition and show off his dunking ability.
His size will be a problem for him at the next level, simply because he's a foot and a half shorter than some people on the court. He'll struggle to finish in the lane when he faces pressure and length. He'll need to create a ton of space to get his jump shot off in the mid-range or be wide open in catch and shoot opportunities to be able to convert. He's fairly strong for his size, but at 133 pounds that strength will be inconsequential relevant to the other players on the court that he gives 50+ pounds too. He'll struggle to guard anyone defensively anywhere on the court simply because the size disadvantage. He's putrid on the boards, perhaps the least consequential player on the boards we've seen yet in TMBSL.
Spud only played 2 years at NC State but his size truly limits his potential.
