From the creator of the hit articles s2c: a podcast and s2c: a look at the Skrousey Bank comes a new article experience for TMBLS GMs everywhere...
Welcome to... Skrouse Capital Management (SCM)!
We are excited to share a fantastic investment opportunity with you! We are pleased to be offering TMBSL GMs and League Officials an investment account where they can use their hard earned skrouse skratch (TM) to buy and sell TMBSL Team Stocks! At the end of each season, GMs can withdraw their skratch or carry it over to the next season to keep the fun going. If a GM finds themself below a Total Market Value of 1K skratch at the end of a season, they may chose to deposit up to 1K additional skratch during the off season*.
Prices will be adjust every 3 sims based on current team projections. SCM will act as the exclusive market maker for all TMBSL Team Stocks and offer to buy and sell minimum lots of stocks at the ask and bid prices. Ask and bid prices will be based on the current price of the stock, marked up or down by 4%. I.e. BRK with a price of 57 can be sold at the bid of 55 or purchased at the ask of 59.
SCM also offers cross trades where two GMs wishing to Buy and Sell with each other between the bid and ask prices can do so. I.e. If the Chicago Bulls GM is willing to sell 2 of his shares of BRK @ 58, and the LA Clippers GM is interested in buying them @ 58, SCM will broker the transaction for them - at no additional cost! As mentioned, minimum lots will be applied to every purchase and sale, minimum lots are based on a formula of $100/Price rounded to the nearest whole number. I.e. 1 share of BRK @58 could not be bought or sold, a deal would need to be for at least 2 shares.
GMs will be able to post their buy and sell transactions in this article thread, SCM will process transactions immediately following deadlines set by the league office for sims Preseason, 3, 6, 9 and 12. SCM will display all positions and balances before sims 4, 7, 10 and Playoffs.
For our inaugural season, we will use an experimental pricing system, which is subject to change in the future. Teams will be notified of a change to pricing promptly.
Here is a preview of what prices would have looked like immediately following sim 12 of the 3006 season. Stay tuned for updates, SCM will post opening prices following the Preseason and trading can commence!

Example of Position and Balances after one full season (3006) where all teams bought the max amount of their own stock during the first trading session and held all season.
Balance - current skrouse skratch (TM) available in a GM's Brokerage Account that can be used to purchase Team Stocks
Market Value - current value of all Team Stocks (positions) held by a team based on Shares times Price
Total MV - current Market Value plus Balance
Price - current market price of a Team Stock. The Price is based on current winning percentage of a team times 82 (games). For example, a team that has a current winning percentage of 100% will have a price of 82. If their winning percentage was 50%, it would be 41. A Price can NEVER fall below 1.
Ask (price) - current price at which a GM can BUY Team Stocks from SCM.
Bid (price) - current price at which a GM can SELL Teams Stocks to SCM.
Minimum Lots - minimum lots are the lowest amount of shares that can be bought or sold in a single trade. They are based on a formula of $100/Price rounded to the nearest whole number. Minimum lots will change throughout the course of a a season.
Cash Out Value - amount of skrouse skratch (TM) a GM can obtain by selling all Team Stocks they hold to SCM, calculated by taking all current stocks held times the Bid. (Does NOT account for value that can be obtained by selling to another GM)
Beg. TMV - a GM's Total MV at the Sim 1 deadline
End. TMV - a GM's Total MV at the Sim 12 deadline
Change - the difference between a GM's Beginning TMV and Ending TMV. This will be used to determine the winner of an individual season's game.
