Eastern Conference
#1 Philadelphia 76ers v #8 Pittsburgh Pipers
PIPERS 122, 76ers 119
PIPERS 144, 76ers 126
76ERS 161, Pipers 114
76ERS 129, Pipers 119
The teams split the series with the home team winning every game. It's worth noting that after the addition of Peppers the 76ers performed much better taking over the Nets for the #1 seed. This will likely be a high scoring series but the Pipers don't have enough talent to take the series

#2 Carolina Cougars v #7 Chicago Bulls
BULLS 125, Cougars 118
BULLS 121, Cougars 97
COUGARS 116, Bulls 112
COUGARS 125, Bulls 104
Another series with the home team taking every game. This is a repeat of last years 1st round matchup that went the Cougars way. The Cougars struggled out of the gate but kind of hit its stride in the ladder part of the year. This team can still score at elite levels but I don't love the defense. The bulls still have a couple premier players but I don't like how they matchup with the Cougars stars
Cougars in 5.
#3 Brooklyn Nets v #6 Cleveland Cavaliers
CAVALIERS 134, Nets 97
Nets 116, CAVALIERS 104
NETS 142, Cavaliers 115
NETS 127, Cavaliers 126
The Nets held onto the #1 spot for a good portion of the year until the Final sim. They have underperformed compared to last years team which returned most of its players. Part of that was because Larry Smith was out a good bit and the other is the East has improved its quality of teams. The Cavs made a couple of splash trades netting them Sampson, Woodson , and known elite PG Sidney Lowe. They have to depth down low to give the Nets some trouble but in the end I don't think the Wings are good enough to pull the upset
Nets in 6
#4 Indiana Pacers v #5 Orlando Magic
PACERS 123, Magic 115
PACERS 127, Magic 106
MAGIC 128, Pacers 108
Pacers 115, MAGIC 111
This series is probably the most balanced off the matchups out east. The Magic won 47 games but the #'s show they were somewhat lucky. The Pacers keep winning yet the roster doesn't look insanely talented or deep. This game will be decided by the two Elite SF's in Beasley and Drexler. I think the Bigs cancel eachother out as they will all miss the same amount of shots.

#1 Philadelphia 76ers v #4 Indiana Pacers
PACERS 131, 76ers 118
Pacers 119, 76ERS 106
76ERS 123, Pacers 120
76ers 132, PACERS 126
I could actually see either team winning this series. If Bynum can shut down the high performing Sixer Bigs they have a shot. Clyde will get his on the offensive end , but so will Ellis. I think the series actually boils down to the Pg's. Can Harper beat up the Rookie Pg for the Sixers? I like the Depth of the Sixers here as well.
Sixers in 6
#2 Carolina Cougars v #3 Brooklyn Nets
Nets 126, COUGARS 123
NETS 136, Cougars 126
Cougars 150, NETS 124
Nets 117, COUGARS 112
The Nets took 3 from the Cougars in the regular season. Larry Smith will be fully healthy for the 2nd round matchup. Both teams have depth down low and both have premier wings. I think the Nets steal one on the road and take the series. The key difference is PG play I think Conley puts them over the edge and the Elite players cancel eachother out.
Nets in 6
#1 Philadelphia 76ers v #3 Brooklyn Nets
76ers 127, NETS 121
NETS 143, 76ers 122
76ERS 109, Nets 104
76ERS 135, Nets 125
The battle of the two best teams in the East should be fun. While both teams have elite players I'd take the Top tier talent of the Sixers over the Nets. However I think the depth of the Rosters swings to the Nets side. If the Nets can get the Sixers into foul trouble and limit the minutes of Carr or Bass I think they pull out the series. This will be a high scoring series. Hopefully we get a game 7 PBP as both Gm's love those

Western Conference
#1 Milwaukee Bucks v #8 Los Angeles Lakers
LAKERS 129, Bucks 119
BUCKS 137, Lakers 126
Bucks 116, LAKERS 110
BUCKS 118, Lakers 109
This Bucks team isn't nearly as good as last years squad imo. But neither are this years Lakers who screwed many people on the Over this season. The Bucks are without known elite Pg Kelvin Sampson so the Lakers could take advantage of the Mismatch of Matthews on Gaines. In the end I think Gates is to much for the Lakers
Bucks in 6
#2 Los Angeles Clippers v #7 Phoenix Suns
CLIPPERS 101, Suns 95
SUNS 120, Clippers 108
CLIPPERS 116, Suns 105
Clippers 126, SUNS 91
This series would be a lot more fun if the Suns had a healthy Bogut. That being said the Clippers are also without its top player in Wayne Estes. Fortunately for the Clippers the Suns don't really have anyone to expose that Injury . I don't think this series ends up being all that close .
Clippers in 5
#3 Minnesota Timberwolves v #6 Golden State Warriors
Timberwolves 145, WARRIORS 122
TIMBERWOLVES 124, Warriors 118
TIMBERWOLVES 127, Warriors 107
WARRIORS 130, Timberwolves 106
The defensive strength of the Timberwolves may be taken out of the equation due to the lack of Volume down low by the Warriors. The Warriors are a balanced team on offense, and its kind of the opposite for the Wolves. The Wolves will shoot the 3 ball and have the best team for that style of offense in the league. Cp3 is too much for Ransey and I don't see the Warriors pulling it out.
Wolves in 5
#4 Chicago Stags v #5 Texas Chaparrals
Chaparrals 124, STAGS 120
CHAPARRALS 137, Stags 129
STAGS 124, Chaparrals 105
Stags 150, CHAPARRALS 135
These teams are built very similar . Have elite bigs with efficient wings. Both also have top 3 pg's to some. This will be a high scoring affair and will be the most exciting series out West. The Chaps are the same Chaps of old but aging . The Stags are a very exciting team that will be near the top of the West for years to come. I think the Stags get it done .
Stags in 6
#1 Milwaukee Bucks vs #4 Chicago Stags
Stags 142, BUCKS 107
STAGS 124, Bucks 113
Stags 155, BUCKS 124
Bucks 134, STAGS 108
The Bucks didn't show any ability to slow down the Stags offense in 4 of the regular season games. Horford got into foul trouble and wasn't a factor. The Bucks need to get Michael Brooks going on offense to help shoulder the load. Sampson will still be out for most of the series but may play some late series heroics . In the end its hard to ignore the Regular season matchups
Stags in 7
#2 Los Angela's Clippers v # 3 Minnesota Timberwolves
CLIPPERS 140, Timberwolves 128
TIMBERWOLVES 129, Clippers 111
Timberwolves 112, CLIPPERS 104
Clippers 151, TIMBERWOLVES 107
I was kind of surprised looking at the regular season matchups. I didn't think the Clippers style would work against this Wolves team but they put up some points. Estes will be fully healthy for this matchup and should put up big #'s on offense and the boards, but can NVE contain Cp3? I don't believe so
Wolves in 6
# 3 Minnesota Timberwolves v #4 Chicago Stags
STAGS 142, Timberwolves 132
TIMBERWOLVES 120, Stags 111
STAGS 117, Timberwolves 107
TIMBERWOLVES 142, Stags 113
The Stags have the Bigs to score but will they be efficient enough to beat the 3 ball of the Wolves. I think the major player here is McCray . How efficient can he be and can he help shoulder the offensive load? Staten will be the best PG Cp3 has seen in the playoffs and could potentially slow him down. I think the cinderella run continues
Stags in 7
Finals
#3 Brooklyn Nets v # 4 Chicago Stags
NETS 128, Stags 109
STAGS 137, Nets 117
The return of Staten to Brooklyn will be something to watch. Lee has had kind of a down year so I don't expect much from him matched up on Smith/Johnson. I think JBC should get some good looks though. Wrenn vs McCray will be another solid matchup. I actually like the Depth of the Wings on the Stags slightly more than the Nets. The Pg's are pretty even here.
