Hello, welcome to my league discussion thread. I am Odin, you may know me from such hits as "make bigs good again", "reset Wayne Estes", and "unweighted lotto". Today I will be discussion our current trade deadline and its inherent problems. Enjoy!

The trade deadline is too damn late in the season and we should move it to sim 8. Here are the reasons why:

1. irl nba has two months left in the season after the trade deadline. moving ours to sim 8 would put us in line with that. ours is incredibly late when comparing it to any sport. in fact, i'm not even sure why we've always used day 99....oh wait, yes i do, #heavyreign

2. rookie grades are posted sim 8. moving trade deadline to the same sim would prevent any possible scenario in which someone trades an otc pick for current year assets or any similar hijinks.

If the major concern is trading players for picks in the current draft (which I don’t have an issue with either), just change the rule so current draft picks can’t be traded for player assets after grades are revealed sim 8. No need to cut two days of trading out for the season in terms of player for player or player for future pick deals.

This proposal literally would make it so you can't trade a player during the draft. Which is fucking bonkers.

At the very least you'd have to allow trading a player for a pick and then "queuing" the trade for after the season. Which sounds like a terrible system.

Allowing more time (sims) sounds good to me from that viewpoint.
