Vesely is a versatile forward who possesses many traits and athleticism of a perimeter player but in the body of a power forward. He has great length and has consistently wowed scouts with his athleticism and some highlight reel plays. He's a menace on fast breaks and he's an energetic player who hustles and has a great motor. He moves his feet and his hands well and is likely to be able to operate on the perimeter both offensively and defensively which will give him a ton of versatility.
Offensively, Vesely has a nice shot with great form and technique...but he is alarmingly inconsistent from the free throw line despite his good form. While he shoots very well with a ton of confidence from deep, his performance at the free throw line does not match up with what you'd think looking at his shot form. Generally, when he gets his feet set well and isn't disturbed from deep, he's automatic. Maybe it's because he's been a bit passive offensively and more of a finesse player and just doesn't have the reps at the free throw line to be totally consistent, but that will need to improve even with the large strides he's made in the last year. He still has a tendency to be very inconsistent with his shots when off platform and when there's a hand in his face. He has soft hands and has improved his low post arsenal, acting very suddenly with the ball in his hands around the basket.
He should be an asset defensively. While he could still add some strength to avoid being knocked around on the post, he does have the ability to move his feet well enough to stay in front of perimeter players so he won't be a liability against stretch 4s or when switching to perimeter players. He might not have the length of other players in the class where he'll be disruptive and get a ton of steals he's a hustle player and plays with a ton of emotion so scouts believe he'll be solid defensively at the next level. Despite all of these tools he has that should profile him as a solid rebounder, he still hasn't been as productive as you'd like to see there.
