The much more offensively inclined of the two twins, Brook is hailed by scouts for his excellent touch within 15 feet. He is very smooth inside and has a variety of post moves to force his agenda inside. He's a master of the drop step and hook and he has the strength to body TMBSL-level defenders without losing position or affecting his finishing. He has a smooth jump shot and has improved tremendously year over year since his senior year of high school in converting his looks from the field. He even started to show some range out to the three point line in college. Lopez has soft hands and rarely loses the ball once he receives it.
He will need to work on his shot selection and perhaps not force the issue too much at the next level, as despite having all the tools to be an elite inside scorer, he wasn't as efficient as you'd hope to see as a collegian, at only a 48% effective field goal percentage across his two seasons. With more help and without, perhaps, playing beside a twin brother who has no offensive ability whatsoever allowing an extra big to clog the lane defensively, that will improve. Scouts had hoped Lopez would be a better offensive rebounder, but between playing alongside his brother who loved to crash the offensive boards and some of his tendency to be a bit more finesse with his offensive game, he hasn't shown that yet (but it may change with different circumstances).
While Robin is the more defensively-inclined of the two Lopez brothers, Brooks does not lag as far behind on this end as his brother does offensively. While he doesn't have the foot-speed or athletic fluidity of his brother, he does have pretty good defensive instincts and timing and uses his length to block a fair amount of shots in his own right. And while he isn't quite the rebounder his brother his, his strong lower body and a knack for good rebounding positioning means he likely won't be a liability as a defensive rebounder. While he is relatively young, Lopez has fairly well-developed skills and at his athleticism, is probably close to TMBSL-ready as is.
