Hill was a box score stuffer at IUPUI and a four-year starter. Compared to many of the young bucks in this prospect class, Hill is already a veteran and likely one of the most TMBSL-ready players of the class. He is a very smooth offensive player and has shown the ability to scorer from everywhere and do it efficiently. He finished well in the paint (even against lower level competition, he was extremely efficient and some of that should carry over) and is a sound shooter with range to the three point line. He went 50-40-80 in his shooting percentages as a senior. While mostly a scoring guard in college, Hill will need to develop more playmaking skills at the next level to stick at PG, where he'll likely need to stay due to his size. Right now he may be more well suited as a lead guard on the bench unit, providing efficient scoring but not being relied upon to lead an offense against the best an opponent has to offer. He's shown flashes of some good passing ability and isn't necessarily a selfish player, but right now he's a bit turnover prone and suffers from having the mindset where he had to do everything for his team in college and many times was left to create something in the final seconds of the shot clock.
Defensively, Hill will need to be able to stick as a 1 for his ability to translate as he doesn't possess the length and athleticism to guard longer wings. He's an adequate athlete for this level and should be at least an adequate defending point guard, but he isn't going to make any all-league teams. One trait that does keep him from looking completely lost defensively is that he was always an incredible rebounder as a point guard for his college team, averaging close to 7 rebounds per game as a senior. While that won't translate 1:1 against much better competition, you can at least count on him to make an effort there and not be a liability.
Hill has a pretty well-developed game and likely not much room to grow with his athleticism, but he should slot in nicely for many teams as a role player and can certainly help a contender looking for some scoring punch from its guards.
