One scout called Webber one of the best college players he's ever seen and this description isn't far off. From day one he has dominated everyone physically. He is stronger by far than anybody who can stay with his quickness, and anybody that can bang with him he will blow past. His aggressiveness, great hands, and quick leap make him a devastating offensive rebounder, and few can stop him down low once he has the ball. He uses a right-handed jump hook and a quick spin move on the baseline to finish on most opponents, it's effective at the college level but he'll need to add some counters and fakes to fool better defenders. His footwork could use some improvement as well, but he has a knack for finishing once he gets into a position to score and that will help carry his game as he works on the finer points. Webber is also an intelligent interior passer, and a very solid ballhandler. He shoots a flat jump shot with fair range. He took a fair amount of three pointers for a big man. Mechanically, he has fair form on his shot but he is still inconsistent on hitting it. Somehow that form falls apart at the free throw line, where he never seems to be able to repeat his mechanics twice in a game.
Defensively, Webber loves to block shots, and he sometimes get himself out of position because he's hunting for them. While he has a lot of athletic tools to help make him an asset on this end, he has a lot to learn about position defense in general and needs to be more engaged on the defensive boards instead of looking to pounce from the backside to pick up a blocked shot. While he has oodles of potential, Webber is sometimes not as active in a game as you might like. He seems to pick and choose his spots, and as this year progressed, it became the consensus that his wind was not as good as it should be. Some scouts wonder if this will keep him from reaching his lofty ceiling.
