we have a 71% chance of killing town if we kill here. not only that, but that will keep us at an even number of people during the day which is very bad because it will extend the number of days required for a town win. you always want to keep things at an odd number during the day.

There’s a much higher chance we lose it at night considering the mafia 100% isn’t dying then. How do you expect to kill mafia if we don’t vote anyone out? Everyone just sits with their thumbs up their ass until the sheriff dies or comes forward? What do you expect to happen tomorrow if the sheriff doesn’t find mafia tonight? They aren’t going to reveal themselves to say one person came back town (which we can’t even rely on). So tomorrow are we just gonna sit around again because we don’t want to accidentally vote off an investigative role? How long do we no execute in your opinion before it’s worth it to try to vote someone out? you've never played like this. why the change? I’ve never supported no execution on day one.

The entire point of the game is to try to make reads with limited information.
The game is not called "follow the leader".
You guys need to stop licking boots, and start trying to make reads to vote people out. If the Town power roles help along the way, that's great.

There’s a 50/50 shot we only have one investigative role. I don’t think we can risk losing it by voting on a whim. Personally, I think that on day one no execution is better because the mafia has 4 members that know who isn’t mafia and they could more easily coordinate push the votes to a townie when there is little to no info to go on. At the same time, forcing 50/50s is a solid strategy too; so it’s whatever.

The point of killing on day 1 is not to necessarily kill a mafia on day 1. It's to begin the process of finding out who the mafia are.
No-Kill just kind of strings this along. Then tomorrow we'll be in the exact same place with a townperson likely dead overnight.

and lets not forget. mafia can die at night if there's a bodyguard role.

What more info will there be day 2? night of investigation(s) There’s like a 2% chance that info is revealed day 2 (and it shouldn’t be). So what is the behavior on day 2? Also no execution so there’s another night of investigation(s)?

Who dies, day 1 voting, maybe there’s bg kill, maybe the sheriff or sheriffs peg a mafia or two. Lots of potential info.

You can win without any town power roles. And if the sheriff ends up on the chopping block day 1, they should very likely reveal themselves and be protected.

But we should wait until later on in the game to act on it because the success of the town protective roles can be a factor (e.g. we can have nights with 0 or 2 deaths). But yeah we generally want to have an odd number of players in the end game.

This kind of blows that I'm at work, because I can't even save myself during overtime if you idiots vote me off.

Because we don't know yet if we'll even need to do it to end up with odd numbers. Imagine we do it now to get to an odd number. But then there a night with 0 or 2 deaths that flips us back to even. Should we then go "no-kill" again? At some point, you're just giving the mafia free night kills.

sorry I am busy with work and will be for the next hour. Some great points but we, as the town, will be able to gather information overnight and give us a clearer picture heading into tomorrow. No Kill is the way to go
