Andrea BargnaniPF7'024521Universo De'Longhi Treviso (Italy)Italian big man Andrea Bargnani makes the move to TMBSL where he's expected to be one of the first players off the board in the 3027 draft. The first thing scouts rave about is the big man's flawless jump shot, which is nearly unmatched for a player of his size. He's had great success to date relying on that jump shot and using it to score consistently from mid-range. For his size, he's surprisingly quick and has impressive leaping ability, although those athletic gifts haven't translated to shot blocking yet. As someone who is still relatively new to the game, Bargnani's post game is pretty limited at this point and he's shown a reliance on his jumper to the detriment of his back-to-the-basket game. Scouts would love to see him add strength and learn to bang down low so that he could get to the line more frequently where he's nearly automatic. It's this same passiveness that makes him a real liability on the boards. Rarely looks to get teammates involved which is good since his passes tend to the wayward. A truly unique player who relies on finesse to contribute rather than strength despite his impressive size, scouts believe the big man has a ton of room for growth, but he'll need refinement in the traditional big man areas - post game, strength, rebounding - to become an all-star in TMBSL.
