J.J. RedickSG6'320023DukeOne of the best shooters the college game has ever seen, J.J. Redick enters TMBSL as a player whose calling card is well-known. He knocked down 91% of his free throws and almost 41% of his threes during four seasons at Duke. He's consistently scored no matter who surrounded him and there are no questions about his ability to do so at the next level. Despite limited athleticism (though he's not awful in this department), his ability to stretch the defense means that he's able to get to the basket and score relatively well since opponents are so concerned with the outside shot. He doesn't turn the ball over much as he's not usually too interested in passing or holding on to the ball very long, instead looking for his shot as soon as the ball gets into his hands. Outside of shooting, it's not expected that Redick will offer much. As mentioned, he doesn't pass much, so it's unlikely he can play point guard at the next level. He doesn't offer much on the glass at all, so he likely never plays small forward either. He's an average perimeter defender though he doesn't generate much by way of counting stats, and his limited strength means he's only suited to guard a particular type of opponent. After four years in college, teams know exactly what they'll be getting in Redick and shouldn't be expecting a great deal of growth.
