It's crazy that you guys think my trade deal is that bad. If bankz wins a championship and resigns dimitris sure he won the trade, but from the sounds of it, I had no chance at resigning dimitris with early bird rights. I can still potentially sign him. Moving to an earlier draft class may help my team win during a window I have Meeks/Breshers. But it's whatever, maybe you guys know something I don't and it will definitely turn out bad for me.

Edit:  If I had taken Craft, I could not offer any maxes.  Do you guys really think my team was just a Craft and mid tier player away from a championship?  Again, maybe, but you can't say that the trade was bad yet.

Edit 2:  One last thought, it seems like you guys are valuing the 3006 1.14 pick very high, but from my short time in the league it's very obvious that you must trade future assets to compete for a championship.  That's what I'm attempting to do here.  I won't edit any more though, gotta get over them jordans.

20 minutes in and we already have tons of straight lies and slander about bk. Not surprised. I hype players up as a meme joke. I never trashed bootsy after I traded him any more than when I was trading him. I said multiple times im not a fan of bootsy because he rebounds like garbage that opinion never changed.

Additionally I was not present when soup offered craft for DD I was in bed.

Lies went down in the middle portion. Now at the end, Bankz decides to throw more lies out there to make me seem like a bad person. "It's about whether people care more about the league than their own teams. BK is on record saying he won't vote to change amnesty". Dude. This is literally the exact opposite position I've held and espoused multiple times. I've said tons of fucking times, including in my podcasts that the cheap amnesties are bad for the league. I want them to be changed. I've also made a post or two in a thread saying "NO DONT CHANGE IT FOR 5 YEARS I BUILT MY TEAM THIS WAY". That post was OBVIOUSLY a joke, mocking dirt's similar post when changing skill camps were brought up. Me taking advantage of amnesties until they are changed is just me trying to make my team as good as I can. Every single one of you would do it too.

Just wanting to clear all this shit up for the listeners, because if you only know about me based on how bankz perceives and communicates me then I seem like a fucking asshat, but I'm only a regular asshat.

What I said you said about bootsy is 100% accurate. You also were there when I first offered craft, you were just drunk/high off your ass.

Listening now and just got through the Dickerson conversation.

I think the assessment that I had "lottery-colored glasses" on skewed my perception of what Dirt could/would offer was accurate. When Soup offered up 1.16 I took a quick look at the owed assets thread and only saw the Clippers having one 1.17 aside from the 1.5.

Looking through old PMs it looks like Dirt may have initially offered a combination of mid-round picks, including maybe two 1.17s, but at the time I wanted something more for Dickerson. Things are a bit different with the deadline approaching and I didn't see the Clippers being able to match that 1.16 with only one 1.17 still in their hands.

its entirely possible I am misremembering and at one point I said bootsy was a really good player. I think Bootsy was an upgrade for dirt. That doesn't mean I want him on my team. I think getting anything for him was a nice little deal. Then he ended up being a hidden gem, which sorta makes me think he could actually be a good player if his upgrades had been handled differently. It's not like I was telling dirt that Bootsy was an amazing player and then after he left I was like "Bootsy is garbage". Everyone has known my opinion of bootsy for the entire time. Any meme-hyping in shout (note: any time I ask for X lottos for a player its a meme) shouldn't count.

i mean when you look at their statlines thats true. But rebounding is really important which I believe i also ranted about for awhile when talking about playing players out of position

Here’s a solution to the free agency thing soup has an issue with: get rid of amnesties. Completely. We already have buyouts.

Or keep amnesties as just something that new GMs get when they first take over a team to use within the first 2 seasons.

to be absolutely clear, and i tried to be as clear as i could be in how contemptuous i was about this, absolutely nothing any GM complains about in shout is changing absolutely anything about how i build rookies

nor am i going out of my way to do the opposite - i don't have to. as far as i'm concerned the GMs who honestly believe creation was terrible and 01 dominated the league are going to believe whatever they want anyway, which inevitably means they will find a draft class that doesn't meet their expectations and get mad about it, so there would be no point in me trying to appease them disirregardless

again, i'm NOT going out of my way to make GMs mad
some classes are going to be built better and some are going to be built worse
some classes are going to get better TCs and some are going to get worse
some classes are going to get better upgrades and some are going to get worse

i don't look at grades, i don't look at who has what wheel slots, i don't look at who has what picks
how much time do you think i have in a day?
i look at the profiles, i look at the stats in the test tims, i adjust to fit the profiles

that's it

anyone looking for a conspiracy or trying to work the refs is wasting their precious time
not because i'm so great and fair and wonderful
because i just don't care about baseless complaints
at all

The bolded is an issue when dealing w/the wheel. Obviously classes are going to be different with different types of players, but I don't think they should be fundamentally stronger or weaker.

All classes shouldn’t be created equal. Just like irl studs won’t always be studs in 6.0 and guys who didn’t amount to shit are superstars in our league.

GMs always have the ability to trade out of and into classes they believe could be strong or weak.

I didn’t like the 3002 draft I made the decision to move out.  Everyone is in love with the KD draft and thus picks in those classes have more value.  

With that said not everyone has all the information.  Scouts also play a big factor.  It’s what pushed me to move back into the 3001 draft

Yeah but we know how these classes unfolded irl.  So again we know some classes are just going to be stronger vs others.  I fully expect to see the LBJ class to be very deep with great players.   I don’t expect the same out of the 2013 class.
