Welcome to a new series to give you guys some content to read on the toilet/kill time that's probably better spent with family. We look at a daily slate of games and tell YOU what game you need to go back and watch. If you like the content - let me know in the thread. Dont like it? im sorry, im expecting that.
Game of the Night:
Day 1: Hawks (77) vs Lakers (101) Why: The fans were pumped to see the Lakers hang the banner and see what's in store for the completely stacked roster. George Mikan and 'Nique put on a show.
Day 2: Knicks (126) vs Pacers (123)
Why: Not many chances to see the Pacers this week as they only play 3 games in sim 1. Competitive game all the way through, not much defense. a fan's delight. Kyrie leads the way with 42 in what seemed to be 'whoever has the ball last will win'.
Day 3: Cougars (134) vs Amigos (129)
Why: Great day to have Sim TV and be a fan of offense! Glad i pay that 9.99 to Eric for that subscription. Winning scores included 150, 148, 145, 145. The Amigos were on the short end of the stick against another offensive juggernaut. NVW Leads the way with 38, while KAT overcomes a 10-24 shooting night with 11 rebounds.
Day 4: Sonics (108) vs Timberwolves (107)
Why: By no means was this the highest scoring affair of the night, but by golly, it was a defensive barn burner. Going into the 4th quarter, down by 1, the Sonics were able to overcome an incredibly rough 4th quarter 19-17 to win by 1. Dolph Shayes showed why he dominated the 1950s [no fact checking] with his 32/11 effort.
Day 5: Knicks (144) vs Bullets (145)
Why: With their second close encounter of the week, the Kyrie lead Knicks couldn't out duel Antoine Carr and the Bullets. First half saw the Knicks up 18, but insane 2nd half from the Bullets get the 1 point victory, presumably at the buzzer.
Day 6: Trail Blazers (126) vs Rockets (124)
Why: In what was the first OT game of the season saw the blazers squeaking out a 2 point lead. Amare Stoudemire puts up 42 points in the losing effort. Leading the league in scoring tonight.
Day 7: Trail Blazers (127) vs Chaparrals (117)
Why: You'd think they'd be tired after an OT game back-to-back, but nope. Chris Weber put the team on his back and goes for a league leading in both points (49) and rebounds (20). Insane fantasy night for C-Web.
Day 8: Knicks (165) vs Spurs (140)
Why: Im sorry? Do you need more of a reason than a 300 point, non overtime/non all star game? absolutely insane. There were only 110 total rebounds in this game. Kyrie is a juggernaut.
Day 9: Grizzlies (132) vs Raptors (141)
Why: Get to see Barney Sedran go 15-20 from the floor to lead the team with 35 points. Raptors had a large lead going into the 4th.
Day 10: Lakers (154) vs Bullets (139)
Why: Just something about scoring 150+ in a win is satisfying. The Lakers go on the road to show why they are a rock solid roster. Starting 5 points are as follows: 35, 32, 30, 24, 18. Insane.
Day 11: Jazz (121) vs Grizzlies (130)
Why: Yes, the Grizz get the dub at home, but Derrick Coleman put up a monster 52/14 game in the loss. Scoring 43 in the second half as a team didn't do the jazz any favors.
Day 12:
SuperSonics (123) vs Trail Blazers (121) Why: In a night filled with blowouts, this game was fun to watch (theoretically). Dolph Shayes leads the way with an absurd 33 points, 21 rebounds in the win.
Day 13: Mavericks (67) vs Raptors (143)
Why: Sometimes you just want to watch the world burn & something beautiful to get destroyed. That was the case tonight, we had multiple close match ups. But none of them involved a literal MURDER. Dave Jemerson & Barney Sedran were overheard slamming beers in the locker room during the 4th quarter.
Day 14: SuperSonics (141) vs Jazz (138)
Why: Two frequent GOTD teams come together for a slug fest. The closest game of the night is also the highest scoring affair. Dolph Shayes continues to show his 8 decades of experience come into play as he leads the way with 43 and 16. Coleman who just had a 52/14 game 3 days ago was held to a respectable 26 & 9.
Day 15: Amigos (111) vs Cougars (137)
Why: In a night of blowouts, we focus on the biggest performance of the night. Nicky VAN E put up 48 points on a 7 of 14 3 point shooting night. 7/7 on the line and 10 more assists to go with it. Impressive.
Day 16: Pipers (136) vs Spurs (140)
Why: In a night of evenly matched teams, the Spurs take the RNG win at home. The highest scoring affair of the evening left the fans wishing for an Overtime & 5 more minutes of play. Isaiah Thomas leads the way with 31 points and 13 assists.
Day 17: Pacers (131) vs Trail Blazers (129)
Why: We love buzzer beaters. And without play by play, that's assumingly what we get here. Clyde Drexler and Chris Webber duel to the death with Clyde & the Pacers coming out on top by 2.
Day 18: Raptors (127) vs Bulls (132)
Why: Yao Ming. That's why. He's been quiet thus far, not wanting the people to forget about him, he put up a league leading 41 points on the night.
Day 19: Grizzlies (142) vs Bucks (141)
Why: 1 point wins are something special. Another instance of the highest scoring game of the night coming down to the wire. Fogarty puts up 32 in the loss. Clint Capela leads the Grizz with 28 and 11.
Day 20: Knicks (153) vs Jazz (161)
Why: An overtime thriller! 31 points scored in OT for the Jazz to get the win. Derrick Coleman is again the star of the entire league on this day, finishing with 56 points on 19-34 shooting. 34 shots, wow. Also incredible stat of the night, the Jazz have 3 separate players with 18 (EIGHTEEEN) rebounds - Coleman, Horford, Oubre Jr. I also think this is a new total game high for the season.

Key takeaway: Cougars - Amigos games are must see tv and we are all worse off that there aren’t any more matchups the rest of the season.

Day 21: Chaparrals (119) vs Trail Blazers (123) Why: A tough choice for toinights GOTD. Let us know if you agree in the comments. Jay WIlliams leads the blazers with 28 as they they almost blow a 30 point lead going into the 4th quarter.
Day 22: Pipers (154) vs Jazz (152) Avoiding bias has been easy, until tonight. What a game. Pipers take the road win in a game that has over 300 points. Love the shootouts, "PEW PEW PEW!" Derrick Coleman still leads the way for the jazz with a 46 & 18 performance.
Day 23: Grizzlies (130) vs Suns (132) The Suns squeak out a home winner behind the efforts of Nathan Jawai (30 points) and Andrew Bogut (17 rebounds). Suns were down going into the 4th.
Day 24: Bulls (121) vs Bullets (128) Im selfish and believe in strong individual performances. Sometimes they dont even have to come in a win. Yao put up 50 (with 13 boards) and just showing that he's still a dominate force.
Day 25: Stags (116) vs Cavaliers (125) We love overtime games. Momentum always can change. Home crowds usually help with that. Cavs enter the 4th quarter down by 5 and end up winning the OT 11-2 in a dominate performance. Jimmy Buckets leads the way with 34 points and 19 rebounds.
Day 26: Pipers (153) vs Bobcats (160) Absolutely hate putting the Piper's Losses as the GOTD, but another overtime shootout. Another absurd 300 point game, with the Piper's seemingly forgettign that defense is a thing. Tonight, the Bobcats decided to fight offense with bigger offense. Jabari Parker had 47 points and 12 rebounds. Shootout - PEW PEW PEW!
Day 27: Knicks (166) Vs Chaparrals (148) PEW PEW PEW!!! Shootout Alert. Highest scoring / most fun game of the evening saw Kyrie Irving (41 points) outduel the software mogul William Gates (36 points). No overtime needed in this western gun slinger.
Day 28: Spurs (148) vs Chaparrals (134) Quite frnakly, we almost chose no GOTD today. A-A-ron Gordon leads the way with 31 and 15 as the spurs top the high scoring affair.
Day 29: Lakers (128) vs Suns (125) Been a while since we checked in with the defending champs, as they havent had many competitive matchups. Dominique leads the way with 36 poitns as the Lakers win the 4th quarter and the game in an a close affair.
Day 30: Grizzlies (163) vs Chaparrals (161) PEW PEW PEW!!! Shootout alert!!! (lol) - For the 3rd time this week, the Chaps are must see tv. Sadly all 3 times are coming on the short end of the excitement. OT Thriller, Michael Beasley is a man-beast putting up 46 points in the close battle, adding 15 rebounds. Dont quote me on this, might be the highest scoring game of the season... at least in a while.
Day 31: Cavaliers (128) vs Pacers (132) James Worthy leads the game with 45 points, but that's not the story here. Harry Hough-dini (dad jokes) adds 28 points on 50% shooting from the field. PS, the Pipers put up 155, but it wasnt a shootout.
Day 32: Clippers (128) vs Bucks (138) Another day, another Sim League Shootout. PEW PEW PEW!!! Total team efforts with Juan Dixon leading the way with "only" 26 points for the winning Bucks.
Day 33: Pipers (142) vs Amigos (136) If the most anti-defense team in the league is showing up, you know what that means! SHOOTOUT! PEW PEW PEW!! Amigos were up the challenge in a close game. Felton Spencer has a monster 40 point effort to lead the way.
Day 34: Stags (114) vs Chaparrals (113) Two SHOOTOUTS (PEW PEW PEW!) but none as competitive or close as this game. The Stags down 2 entering the 4th come up victorious. Lead by Chuck Aleksinas' 21 point effort.
Day 35: Bucks (157) vs Chaparrals (155) OVERTIME!!!! SHOOTOUT!!! PEW PEW PEW!!!!! all the alarms going off. Everything the fans love to see. William Gates puts up 33 & 15 in a losing effort. Bob Cousy shows why he's in the middle of a POTW streak putting up 32 and 13 assists. Two other games finished in 2 point or less margins*
Day 36: Lakers (152) vs Clippers (123) In an LA Showdown, the Yellow team takes the game in another classic .... get ready.... SHOOTOUT!!! PEW PEW PEWWWWW!!!!! JBC puts up 34 points. Chris Mullin had 50 in a losing effort. Hate to see it. Maybe @eric can let us know what celebrities are courtside for this one!
Day 37: Trail Blazers (130) vs Cougars (129) The game's leading scorer never seems to come out on top. This is another case. Chris Webber has 27 but comes out on the winning side of this OT thriller. Two one point wins & two 50 point wins occurred tonight*
Day 38: FAN VOTE! Chaparrals (140) vs Amigos (145) Bulls (124) vs Suns (125) Do we like potential buzzer beaters orrrrr SHOOTOUTS PEW PEW PEWWWWW!!!!!
Day 39: Suns (142) vs Trail Blazers (138) Frequent visitors to the GOTD list, we again choose the biggest SHOOTOUT, PEW PEW PEW PEWWWWWW. Any reason to sound the gun alarms are good reason for me. Jawai scores 36 as he outduels Webber's 34 for the win.
Day 40: Spurs (135) vs Knicks (145) Joel Embiid puts up 32 points in a high scoring affair tonight. Some may even call it another sim league SHOOTOUT PEW PEW PEWWWWWW! it was a very high scoring day for the league in general. Multiple shooutouts PEW PEW PEWWWW to choose from here. Let us know if you disagree.

Day 41: Grizzlies (135) vs Bucks (123) Not many close games tonight. We solely based this one o points, barely being the high score of evening. Tobias Harris has the efficient 30 & 13 board game in the win.
Day 42: Amigos (124) vs Lakers (122) UPSET ALERT! The Amigos come in on the road and get the close win! Martell, has the huge evening with 37 & 12. Three different games ended in 2 point margins.
Day 43: Grizzlies (136) vs Pacers (134) A top tier matchup with two top tier teams did not leave the fans disappointed. We'll call this one a SHOOTOUT... PEW PEW PEWWWWW!!!! The home crowd goes home sad as Tobias Harris ends the fun. Tobias is becoming a frequent GOTD watch.
Day 44: Lakers (140) vs Raptors (147) The two things the fans love - upsets & shootouts PEW PEW PEWWWW. Dont think the Raptor's fans would call this an upset, but the rest of the betting public did. Coming in at a +5 underdog. Home fans going home happy today!
Day 45: Rockets (111) vs Chaparrals (114) We went with the closest game of the evening with this one. 10 teams tonight scored over 120, but fans in ... wherever TF the Chaps are based out of get to see the good guys win. Microsoft Gates continues to be a solid leader for the roster adding 21 points and 6 assists.
Day 46: Stags (103) vs Bulls (104) We didn't get to sound the alarms on this game, but we got one hell of a 4th quarter victory. The low scoring affair had Vin Baker lead the way with 24. This may have even been a BUZZER BEATER!!!! BU-BU-BUZZZZZZZZZ
Day 47: Bucks (134) vs Amigos (137) This game was a wild back and fourth affair. Bob Cousy gets the nod for best effort of the entire night with 33 points and 18 assists.
Day 48: Raptors (149) vs Clippers (132) Surprisingly the Raptors weren't the high score of the evening, but this game was the biggest shootout! PEW PEW PEWWWWWW! Ceballos adds 38 and 14 rebounds on the road victory.
Day 49: Knicks (138) vs Stags (108) Individual performances are a sight to see. Kyrie "I'm healthy in the sim world" Irving put up 50 points and 10 assists in a crazy output of offense.
Day 50: Grizzlies (127) vs Cougars (125) Total team effort here. Harris leads the way with 22 for the grizz. 8 players scoring in double figures.
Day 51: Pipers (138) vs Lakers (154) shootout.... PEW PEW PEWWWW. Star studded Laker roster put up an offensive clinic against the defensiveless Pipers without Patrick Ewing. Nique went to town with 35 on 13/20 shooting.
Day 52: Suns (141) vs SuperSonics (139) Triple Whammy!!! We have overtime, we have a two point road win, and a potential buzzer beater. LOVE TO SEE IT. Overtime was an exciting & close 8-6 event. Bogut 39, outduels Randle, 38.
Day 53: Bullets (112) vs Clippers (114) Another game similar to last night! We get overtime excitement. We get a 2 point win. We get a (potential) game winner! Home fans go home happy as they watch 3D-Dennis Scott put up 33. *as a magic fan IRL, Dennis Scott is one of my all time favorites.
Day 54: Hawks (116) vs Rockets (114) THREE NIGHTS IN A ROW the fans are treated to another gem. Same circumstances. Road win gets the 2 point overtime shocker. Ralph Lewis leads the way with 37 points. Been an exciting week for the league!
Day 55: Cavaliers (138) vs Chaparrals (146) All these close games and we missed the good ol' shootout -> PEW PEW PEWWWWWW. Love to see high scoring matchups and each team walks away with a 40 point scorer (Wachter/Harrell).
Day 56: Bobcats (128) vs Bulls (124) Brook Lopez has 42 points in the high scoring affair. The way the league has been dropping 260+ point games, I'm holding off on the sirens here. But still a very entertaining game none-the-less, we assume.
Day 57: Bucks (155) vs Amigos (143) Speaking of 260+ point, we are 2 shy of 300. Let's sound those alarms... ::cough shootout cough cough:: PEW PEW PEWWWWWWW. Bob Cousy has 45 on 18/29 shooting, while Oakley gobble-gobbled up 18 rebounds.
Day 58: Cougars (134) vs Jazz (132) No overtime is needed, as the Cougs get the huge 4th quarter comeback to win. Lead by Selvy's 43 & 10 game. Coleman spoke after the game "bull shit, im the best player on the court." We'll see how he responds.
Day 59: Bobcats (138) vs Raptors (139) TRIPLE WHAMMY (again). We assume the home fans are shocked to see the game winning shot go in and the Raptors take the win in a close thriller. Dave Jamerson has 39 to leave the way.
60: All Star Weekend John Schommer's (Back up... something for the Pipers) put up the best dunk I've ever seen (in text) in my life. Scored a 95.52 in the first round. Sadly he couldn't make any dunks in the final round and Derrick Rose/Dominique Wilkins take gold/silver.
Both Games were outstanding! Rookies get a 3 point victory... meanwhile the dominant East get the 1 point win. The west won the 4th quarter 33-17 and still couldn't pull out the dub. Tough times for the Lakers -- i mean western conference all stars.
