Welcome to another arrangement of Kilbins. This is the 3013 Kilbins, that means we are looking at numbers for the 3013 season of TMBSL. We will also look at 3012 numbers but don’t forget that this is the 3013 Kilbin set.
For Sim 3 we see some familiar names at the top:So far the Lakers, Bobcats, and Knicks have shown to be the creme of the crop. However, the Cougars, Jazz(!) and Pipers(!) are nipping at their heels. I’ve added two new columns this time, the previous season’s Kilbins, as well as the “Kilbin Diff”, this is merely the difference between the current years and previous year’s Kilbins. This can be used to see if your team has got “better” or “worse”. So far this season the biggest movers we see are the Jazz and Pipers in the positive direction, increasing their kilbins from below .05 to over .08! What a jump much WOW. However, the story is very different for the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Stags. The Stags made the mistake of thinking the Timberwolves had a solid roster, while the Pacers are laser focused on proving Killy right by showing how bad a great roster can be when Andrew Bynum is made a focus.
Here’s the Wins vs Player Wins charted out. Wow! Much Correlation.Another new Kilbins feature will be a laser focus on some of the player’s doing the best so far this year in terms of their re-sign value:Wow! Kyrie Irving is having a monster year, he’s playing like he’s worth 23M!
New Kilbins feature... Bynum Watch!
Here are the rest of the individual player rankings and their re-sign values if the season were to end today:

Is there something in your formula that favors bigs?
It seems like it, on the individual basis

Hello and welcome to the end-of-season update to 3013 Kilbins. I apologize for no intermediate updates as I have been working 14 hour days for the last 10 days or so while cranking out a paper I've finally submitted. First off let's look at the Kilbin chart: As you can see the Lakers and Knicks are by far the favorites here, with the Pacers and Bobcats in a 2nd tier behind them. The 3rd tier of playoff teams consists of the Jazz, Cougars, Pipers, Grizzlies, Hawks, and Bucks. All of these teams have a realistic shot to land a title based on past experience. The Supersonics, Suns, and Blazers also have an outside chance to claim a title. The Jazz, Cavaliers, Pipers, and Bulls have been the most improved this season, with the Rockets, Amigos and Bucks also getting appreciably better. It's been a disastrous season-over-season turnover for the Stags and Clippers. Among the contenders only the Hawks took a significant step back from last season. Here is the customary 1:1 plot that shows how close total player winshares and wins are correlated! Wow! An update on a new segment from last time that I’m titling: “Worth It”! Is your player Worth his max? Some of the players on this list are worth well above what they’re being paid! If you don’t see your player on this list and they are making $10m+ they aren’t worth it! And finally I’m having a segment called “Best of the Rest” Where we look at player’s who got stats all season on the minor league teams, and if there is anyone worth a shit. Short answer: No! Long Answer: Maybe. Heurtas seems that he could be good and some of the bigs with +30 inside could be intriguing 4th bigs.

Real question though… why are bigs seemingly overvalued in your formula? Do you think it is missing a component to value wings?

I think they are more valuable in the sim than wings and guards and it shows up in the win and winshares column. There are no provisions in my formula that single players out by position. My formula is a product based on team winshares/48 and winshares/48 weighted by minutes played.

Do you use PER for anything? (It’s listed and is slanted to bigs, that’s why I ask) change my vote to 76k

No, I don't use PER I think it's a fairly bogus stat that's too dependent on volume.
Here's the explicit formula for Kilbins:
=((0.2*AD2+0.3*AB2+0.5*AC2)^2)*4
