Cohlston Priest of Auril, Goddess of Winter Cohlston started as a blizzard wasteland until human started to travel north wanting to be open and free. Most Humans in the other lands were looked down upon and considered the lowest of the low. Most were bottom class workers and the others were slaves. Cohlston was always known for its lawless barbarian tribes that would roam and raid the other regions. After the news of humans becoming more organized the population grew each year. There are still plenty of roaming tribes but a majority of mountain folk decided to come together and build a place of their own. The glowing fountain of Auril started to become a unique destination in the North.
Fort Cohl: A dozen chief leaders of surrounding Barbarians made peace and decided to build a temple around the Fountain of Auril. The temple was nothing special but throughout the year’s tents turned into walls and walls turned into shelters. The clansmen decided to vote in a priest that would conduct rituals on behalf of the community. As the years went by and ambitions grew, they developed a trade. They were able to dig mines and find precious minerals. It is still a very dangerous trek through Woods and Passes but the bravest deliver minerals to the other areas. Fort Cohl has developed into more than a human population: Dwarves come and go for the Minerals. Blue Tieflings, Half Elves, Air Genasi, and few Elves are in the area for their own reasons.
