I think this is a solid trade for both. Scott is among the top PGs in the league after the obvious CP3 and Papaloukous tier.

There is a big group that is pretty similar to me after that top tier so not sure how valuable being one of many in that group is. Neitzel seems similar to Scott and was available while getting paid 40k to take him, much less giving up 1.11. Sampson is available for what seems like less. Larry Drew was available for cheaper.

Seems like Scott had fallen out of favor in the league pretty quick after a solid rookie season. His value saw a bit of a climb again this year and Ward was able to capitalize.
I think Golden State wins this one.

This is true, but simply put, Scott>> Neitzel. I wanted the best PG I could acquire with at a reasonable price. Neitzel was a better value but just wasn't good enough IMO. Scott is clearly a top 10 guy at his position.

Age: Neitzel 25 Scott 27 I did say they were close, but based on recent performances (i.e. last year) Scott was better with regards to scoring, rebounding, and efficiency. When I make deals for players I weigh the recent numbers much more heavily than career numbers. And even your W/S show that last year Scott as #5 for PGs while Neitzel was at #11.
