Its not about whether they are discovered or not druce. Its someone being a hidden gem is noticed and then taken higher than they would be without it. I am confused on why this is a bad thing?
i mean its just an opinion on whether you like that or not
most people are unhappy with easily scouting who a gem is, see poll

All this would do is make it so more hidden gems go uncovered. First round picks are going to get +10 regardless in most cases unless they tank their first TC. If you want to make it a separate coach that is fine, but the number of people who would actually use that coach is likely close to 0. If you have high picks you're getting the scouting coach, and if you're a contender you're using one of the dc option coaches. I think you're wrong about people using the coach i have high picks and would get the Gem coach |

Can I change my vote to Yes Remove It?
Just make it a coach where you get to send Eric 5 names and he tells you if they're gems or not. Also this info can't be traded officially

No one buys the scouting coach because the amount of money it saves isn't equal to the amount you can sell 10 upgrades for with the Upgrades coach.
So make the scouting coach actually useful and allow hidden gem identification to come with it. You can save on the purchases of up to 5 scouts, and those discounted scouts will reveal HG status. Additional full price scouts would not.

yeah but they would have been drafted later, letting the gm who drafted them get a good surprise when they get the +10
it seems people are talking past people here, i dont think the issue is we want more/less gems to be discovered... is that your take? The issue is revealing them during scouting.

It provides a distinct decision you have to make: Potentially get some valuable scouting reports while saving some cash (my proposed scouting coach) OR Make a shit ton of money/upgrade your players (upgrades coach) OR Make your team better (offense/defense coaches) If limited to 5, then you have essentially a 1/10 or 1/11 chance every year of identifying a hidden gem (5/55 or so players in a draft class). I think it'll decrease the sharing. If you happen to strike on a hidden gem (what are the odds you hit two?), are you going to want to freely share that information? They'll be much harder to find, and therefore more valuable, and therefore less likely to be shared by dumbass loser scouting cartels. |

Additional full price scouts would not. if the issue is balancing money coaches, it seems like we should address that more directly by adjusting the money - for example make the upgrade coach cost more, or increase the discount from the scouting coach |

It would reduce the “issue” if you don’t have the ability to have that status revealed for 30 players or whatever it is people scout every season. |

Could also be something like you get to choose between: You can gem scout 3 profile players OR you can gem scout 6 non-profile players. Again, flexible on number of scouts. But I think this gives the coach appeal to teams not picking at the top. |
